Asus 10 Inch Netbook - 1000HE - 1005HA -1005PE

Update: The Asus X101 netbook with the MeeGo operating system in now available in North America and is coming shortly to the rest of the world. Early reviews of the Asus X101 are mixed. People are impressed with the small and thin size, but there is one pretty major issue. The keyboard has been squashed down so the keys are smaller than any of the other 10-inch Asus netbooks out there. MeeGo might not be for everyone, so there is going to be a Windows 7 based X101H model in the near future. Aside from the X101, the Asus 1025 is nearing release. It was recently submitted to the FCC so it's likely to show up before the end of 2011.

The greatest variety of Asus netbooks is in the 10 inch size. Currently in late 2011 and 2012 Asus has introduced the X101 and X101H which are their lightest and thinnest netbook models. This new X101 netbook from Asus boasts the cheapest price ever. It's $199 for the model with MeeGo operating system! The X101H comes with Windows 7 Starter but does not yet have a price.

In addition, the 10 inch Asus netbook line up will see the 1025C and 1025CE models coming soon. The Asus 1025 series will have the new Intel Atom processor which means very late 2011 or early 2012 releases. The new Atom processor means these Asus netbooks willl boast impressive battery life and much improved graphic, video and light gaming performance.
