The 9 inch Asus netbook was really the starting point of the netbook category of computers. It deserves respect. It's an important piece of history. Are you hoping to buy one? Get one used and that's the best you will do. There simply aren't 9 inch netbooks being manufactured in today's market. The reason for no more 9 inch Asus netbook models most likely comes down to a couple key factors. First, too much scrolling for most people's liking. Websites just don't get well with that size of resolution screen. Nobody has bothered with this size screen even though tablets seem popular at this size. Blame the Windows operating system for that. However, there must be more to it. So if not the screen size, it's also the cramped keyboard. Small keyboards are okay, but most people like the 10.1 inch netbook size which is about 92% of actual keyboard size. I simply think it's a combination of those factors as to why there are no current 9 inch netbooks from Asus or anyone else. Take your pick, any of these Asus netbooks are fantastic. Of course you don't have the bigger keyboard or touch pad or screensize, but what you have is an ultra and I mean ultra portable netbook. These netbooks will make you quickly retire any portable dvd player that you might have had around the house!
Because models like the Asus 901, 900, and 900HA are previous generations of the EeePC computers, they are a bit harder to find. Not impossible, but a bit more challenging especially if you are looking for a great deal. Amazon as always, is the hub for finding great Asus netbooks and finding the 900, 900HA and 901 is certainly possible at Amazon. I will give you some Asus 900, 900HA and 901 video reviews because I think those best demonstrate how solid these beautiful netbooks really are. Asus netbook images can only say so much. A hands on video review will be a much better picture for you in understanding what these netbooks are all about. To clarify, the Asus 9 inch netbook is actually an 8.9" inch netbook. Some great features of the Asus 900HA netbook include: Windows XP operating system, 5 hours of battery life, a large capacity 160 gig storage, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g for all your internet needs. Included in the 900HA are three different power management profiles. This means depending on what you're doing, you can lower your power usage and get even more battery life!
