The day has come for you to consider buying a netbook. I've been there. You may have heard mixed reviews about gaming on a netbook. Perhaps you already have a netbook and want to do some netbook gaming. Netbooks are new so you may have trouble finding information about a gaming netbook or netbook gaming. Correct? We're here to help you out!

I'm a gamer. Nothing is worse than getting a game and finding that the game lags bad and your hardware can't handle it. I'm going to be able to help you with your netbook gaming needs. As a gamer considering a netbook, you should be excited about Nvidia's ION graphics processors. See the hand above, that's the ION technology for you. A full list of ION netbooks upcoming!

It's late 2009. The Atom processor and current netbooks are not exactly graphically endowed. In other words, you aren't going to be fragging on the latest and greatest FPS games. However, don't kid yourself. There is some great netbook gaming to be had. You just need to know that sweet spot. What do I mean by that?

I mean, like you previous experiences with your tower PC and gaming on that. I'm sure there are a lot of new games that your home rig can't handle. What's important with netbook gaming, is to consider the game requirements or the game minimum requirements. We all know gaming hardware minimum requirements are basically a joke. If you meet the min, you will have a crappy gaming experience. You generally need more than what the package is advertising that's for sure. Yes, you can dial down all the options, but why play an ugly game?

The point here is, there is a sweet spot. It's the point in time when the new hot games met the specs of the netbooks of today. That means, we need to go back a few years. How many? Stay tuned. I want to research this and give you solid advice here folks. I need to learn a bit also. Having said that, in that sweet spot, those games released during that time, will play great on your netbook. Netbook gaming will be fun, so long as you realize the limitations. Don't think of what the game min specs are, just consider what year the game was released. I will play it safe probably by about year, just to be safe.

So, we may be going back to say, 2002 games for the PC. That's a stretch of course, and I will have the safe release dates for you. Netbook gaming is going to let you experience some of the classic games of the past that you may never have had a chance to play. It will open up the door for some great gaming.

You also may be shopping for a gaming netbook. Well, you will be happy with the next generation of netbooks. With graphics in mind, you are going to see better graphic capable processors very very soon. That means many doors will open for netbook gaming!
